If the tracking of the Class40 IBSA<\/em> had a soundtrack, it would probably be Ride of the Valkyries<\/em>. Finally, after eight long days, IBSA<\/em> started to run, with peaks of up to 18 knots, and an average of 12 knots in the last 24 hours. Alberto Bona, Pablo Santurde Del Arco and Luca Rosetti on IBSA<\/em> are counterattacking, together with the group of crews who had chosen the North option. Indeed, in the last 24 hours they have gone down below the great circle: now they are on a more comfortable route towards Europe and they also seem to have more wind than those who, in recent days, had preferred the South option, gaining over 200 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 24 hours, the gap accumulated by IBSA<\/em> this past weekend was reduced by 30 miles, an encouraging first step to never give up! IBSA <\/em>is still in the lower half of the ranking, but those in front are really watching their backs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today it\u2019s time to hold on, while also hoping for sheer luck, which really wouldn\u2019t hurt, while trying to recover more precious miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Alberto and his team have covered about half the route, with the remaining part which promises to be much faster. What is certain is that the regatta is becoming really exciting, and for all IBSA <\/em>fans the goal is to closely follow the last part of the Transat Qu\u00e9bec Saint-Malo<\/em>, hoping for a true and complete recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
