After the success of the 2023 edition<\/a>, the second IBSA Cup \u2013 <\/strong>the traditional end-of-summer regatta of the Circolo Velico Lago di Lugano<\/em> (CVLL), renamed last year after its main sponsor \u2013 will be held on Lake Lugano on 31 August and 1 September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About thirty boats<\/strong> from different sailing classes \u2013 including Optimist and Laser \u2013 will be involved in this second edition of the race, for a total of around 150 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IBSA Cup will also see the participation of the athletes of the Associazione Velabili<\/em><\/strong>, an organisation based at theCVLLwhich promotes the practice of sailing for people with disabilities. The Velabili<\/em> \u2013 whom IBSA has supported since 2023 as part of the project Sailing into the Future. Together<\/em> \u2013 will compete aboard Hansa303s<\/strong>, boats designed to ensure safe and accessible navigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a testament to IBSA\u2019s strong commitment to inclusion and the promotion of sport, a few IBSA collaborators will also participate in the regatta,<\/strong> with two crews<\/strong>. IBSA itself will also be present with a stand <\/strong>during the two days of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
