Iconic and spectacular will be the <strong>passage before of the Fastnet, the famous Irish lighthouse<\/strong> that the fleet must circumnavigate and which by Bona had already encountered last season, during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibsasailing.com\/en\/rolex-fastnet-race\/\"><em>Rolex Fastnet Race<\/em><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibsasailing.com\/en\/normandy-channel-race-2023\/\"><em>Normandy Channel Race<\/em><\/a> 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike the last edition, which took place in June, <strong>this year the regatta will be held in autumn<\/strong>, an event that occurs every four years. The event is indeed scheduled for Sunday, September 15, when the fleet will line up for the <strong>start off the port of Ouistreham, approximately 15 kilometers from Caen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now in its <strong>15<sup>th<\/sup> edition<\/strong>, the <em>Normandy Channel Race<\/em> is one of the most anticipated events of the Class40 calendar. It\u2019s a particularly demanding competition, one that requires <strong>technical skills and a deep knowledge of currents and tides<\/strong>.<br>Considered one of the most difficult regattas in the sailing scene, the <em>Normandy Channel Race<\/em> is in fact known for the challenges imposed by the <strong>variable weather conditions of the Celtic Sea<\/strong> and <strong>by the powerful tides<\/strong>, quite familiar situations for Alberto.<br>For sure the experience gained during the <em>Normandy<\/em> 2023 will allow our skipper to face the 2024 edition with <strong>even more determination and a refined strategy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third regatta of the year is getting near: Alberto Bona is preparing to tackle the <em>Normandy Channel Race<\/em>, starting from Caen (Normandy, France) on September 15. The Class40 <em>IBSA <\/em>had already participated in this historic event last year; Alberto will therefore once again be sailing along the challenging waters of the English Channel and the Celtic Sea, together with co-skipper Alberto Riva.
