A La Trinit\u00e9-Sur-Mer, au chantier naval JPS, les travaux sont men\u00e9s \u00e0 un rythme soutenu et avec une grande pr\u00e9cision : Alberto Bona nous emm\u00e8ne dans un voyage \u00e0 travers les trois premi\u00e8res phases de construction, celles de base.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Nous commen\u00e7ons \u00e9videmment par le projet, explique Alberto Bona<em>,<\/em> sur lequel nous travaillons avec une grande pr\u00e9cision. Puis, avec les dessins et les donn\u00e9es, nous entrons dans le chantier naval, o\u00f9 nous commen\u00e7ons par construire la coque pour r\u00e9aliser le moule, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire la bo\u00eete dans laquelle le bateau prendra vie, une structure en bois et fibre de verre.<\/p>\n<p>Ce moule est appel\u00e9 <strong><em>femelle<\/em><\/strong>, car c&rsquo;est la partie int\u00e9rieure dans laquelle seront pos\u00e9es les <strong><em>peaux en fibre de verre<\/em><\/strong>, un v\u00e9ritable tissu<em>.<\/em> Ensuite on travaille sur la pr\u00e9paration de ce que l&rsquo;on appelle dans le jargon un <strong><em>sandwich<\/em><\/strong>, qui n&rsquo;est rien d&rsquo;autre qu&rsquo;un compos\u00e9 dans lequel des tissus en fibre de verre sont plac\u00e9s les uns sur les autres en intercalant une <strong><em>mousse ultral\u00e9g\u00e8re<\/em><\/strong><em>. <\/em>Dans le sandwich, il y a une couche de tissu, une de mousse et une autre couche de tissu en fibre. C&rsquo;est ce qui garantit la solidit\u00e9 de la structure tout en assurant une l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 maximale. La difficult\u00e9 consiste \u00e0 pr\u00e9voir \u00e0 quel endroit une r\u00e9sistance m\u00e9canique plus ou moins importante sera n\u00e9cessaire, afin d&rsquo;ajuster la quantit\u00e9 et la concentration de tissu. Par exemple, dans la zone proche de la quille, la mousse sera enti\u00e8rement remplac\u00e9e par du tissu, cr\u00e9ant ainsi une couche compacte et tr\u00e8s r\u00e9sistante pour \u00e9viter que les contraintes ou une collision puissent affecter la structure.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;art d&rsquo;avoir un bateau solide et l\u00e9ger consiste \u00e0 dimensionner correctement les diff\u00e9rentes zones de contraintes m\u00e9caniques : trop de kg de tissu signifie trop de r\u00e9sine et donc davantage de poids, l&rsquo;ennemi principal d&rsquo;un bateau de course. Ce n&rsquo;est pas facile et il faut des ann\u00e9es d&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience et une main-d&rsquo;\u0153uvre hautement qualifi\u00e9e pour mettre en pratique les id\u00e9es du concepteur. Le processus suivant est l&rsquo;infusion de <strong><em>r\u00e9sine<\/em><\/strong> qui p\u00e9n\u00e8tre et consolide cette structure m\u00e9canique entre la fibre de verre et la mousse. L&rsquo;infusion est un processus tr\u00e8s rapide qui s&rsquo;effectue sous vide. Une fois la r\u00e9sine solidifi\u00e9e, la coque est pr\u00eate.<\/p>\n<p>Le processus se poursuit avec la construction des cloisons, qui sont n\u00e9cessaires pour donner de la rigidit\u00e9 : elles sont la v\u00e9ritable armature du bateau. Il s&rsquo;agit en fait de grands panneaux qui \u00e9pousent la forme de la coque aux bons endroits. Les cloisons sont les structures internes qui conf\u00e8rent \u00e0 la coque une rigidit\u00e9 m\u00e9canique sur les trois axes : sans elles, notre coque ne tiendrait pas longtemps dans les vagues. Leur fabrication est une \u00e9tape importante : calculs structurels d&rsquo;une part, et exp\u00e9rience du chantier naval de l&rsquo;autre, afin d&rsquo;obtenir un bateau l\u00e9ger, rigide et fiable.<\/p>\n<p>Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 la coque et aux renforts, on construit le pont, le pont du bateau : la m\u00e9thode de construction est la m\u00eame, et le maximum de pr\u00e9cision est exig\u00e9e afin que les deux parties &#8211; coque et pont &#8211; s&#8217;embo\u00eetent\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; De la conception \u00e0 la mise \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau : construire un Class40 pour une course oc\u00e9anique en solitaire, consiste \u00e0 construire un bateau solide et l\u00e9ger, performant et fiable, personnalis\u00e9 et &#8211; en bref &#8211; meilleur que les autres.
