Born in 1987, Pablo Saturde del Arco is a greatly experienced Spanish sailor.
Graduated from the University of Cantabria in Santander (Spain) in “Maritime transport and nautical trade”, from 2005 to 2010 he was a member of the Spanish pre-Olympic team aboard the 470s. Between 2011 and 2013, he devoted himself to the construction of the Class40 Tales II, designed by Botin, of which he was boat captain from 2013 to 2016 and with which he clocked over 50,000 nautical miles.
Pablo boasts a participation in nine transatlantic regattas, conquering the podium of some of the world’s most important sailing events aboard Class40 boats: the Transat Jacques-Vabre (first position in 2021, third in 2017, second in 2013), the Rolex Fastnet Race (first in 2015, second in 2017 and 2013), Les Voiles de Saint Tropez (first in 2018 on the 15 m JI), the Normandy Channel Race (third in 2021, second in 2019, first in 2017) and Les Sables-Horta-Les Sables (first in 2017).
After participating in the construction of some TP52s and in several offshore and inshore navigations aboard various boats – including MOD 70, IMOCA, Multi 50, Class40, Figaro 3, Swan 50, J80, J70 – Pablo is now a permanent member of Alberto Bona’s team for the 2023 season.
